2010 and older

Denver/NFR Air Quality Modeling to Support Ozone SIP Development, August 16, 2010 – Presentation to RAQC members developed by Environ-Alpine to provide modeling background and give an update.

DRAFT Ozone SIP Modeling Scope of Work — 2010-2012, May 10, 2010 – RAQC/APCD staff SOW and schedule for planning to address Phase II modeling improvements, new MOVES model work, and base and future year SIP modeling.

Air Quality Modeling Overview and Preliminary Ozone SIP Modeling Results, May 7, 2010 – Presentation to RAQC Board developed by RAQC/APCD staff summarizing post 2008 SIP work through July 29, 2009 modeling meeting presentation and work since then.

Denver 2020 Emission Reduction Sensitivity Tests and Effects of CAMxVV, March 23, 2010presentation prepared by Environ-Alpine. Modeled additional sensitivity tests and modeled the original 2020 projected emissions (used in work presented July 29, 2009) with the CAMxVV to separate the benefit of CAMxVV from the NOx reductions.

2020 Ozone Projections for Three Emissions Sensivity Test Address Vertical Transport, February 10, 2010 – presentation prepared by Environ-Alpine. Maximum available controls on large NOx Sources were tested in the scenarios.

Revised Denver 2020 Ozone Projections Using CAMx with Updated Vertical Transport Algorithms, January 26, 2010 – presentation prepared by Environ-Alpine – This analysis also included revisions (more reasonable estimates) to large NOx sources and corrected refueling estimate as suggested at July 29, 2009 modeling meeting. Improvement in ozone noted in response to reductions and Vertical Velocity algorithm improvement.

Revised Denver June-July 2006 CAMx Base Case Modeling and Model Evaluation to Address Vertical Transport, December 16, 2009 – presentation prepared by Environ-Alpine. Phase I 2015-2020 Point Source Modeling Inventories, October 12, 2009 – In response to comments raised at July 29, 2009 modeling meeting concerning growth factors for point sources used for 2015/2020, updated Phase I point source inventory data was posted, with the invitation to sources to review and comment on the growth assumed for their facility or industry. The updated inventory and Division staff’s response to comments received resulted in significant reductions in the estimated future emissions of large NOx sources (primarily Electric Generating Units) presented here. VVT improvement was integrated into remaining Phase I tasks.
